Thailand’s transport company has announced that the bus service for east, north and northeast part of Thailand to resume from 18 May 2020.
Bus service to resume on 9 routes for Eastern and Northeast part of Thailand, which are Bangkok – Loei’s Chiang Khan, Bangkok-Chanthaburi, Bangkok – Surin, Bangkok – Sakhon Nakhon, Bangkok – Nong Bua Lamphu, Bangkok – Si Saket, Bangkok – Buriram, Bangkok – Surin’s Rattanaburi, and Bangkok – Si Saket’s Kantharalak.
Bus service to resume on 7 routes for Northern part of ThailandThailand, which are Bangkok – Sukhothai’s Sarachit, Bangkok – Phetchabun’s Lomkao, Bangkok-Tak’s Maesot, Bangkok – Chiang Rai, Bangkok – Chiang Mai, Bangkok – Uttaradit, and Bangkok- Kamphaeng Phet’s Khlonglan.
There are 3 routes for Southern part of Thailand, where the bus service will be resumed in month of June 2020. The 3 routes are Bangkok – Koh Samui, Bangkok – Phuket and Bangkok – Trang. Most probably these routes will be opened on 01 June 2020.
Due to Covid-19, there are some health and safety issues which will be carried through during the bus service transportation. All buses must be sanitized and disinfected regularly. The buses must be left under sun for 1 hour to 2 hours every day after the service of the buses will be over. Staff will be checked for fever before they go for work and they must wear the mask all the time during duty. Social distancing (one meter distance) must be applied on all buses and at the every stations.
Passengers must be checked for fever at every stations and social distancing must be used. If body temperature of any passenger will be find higher than 37.5 Celsius than that passenger will be refused to travel and that passenger will not be enter at bus. Passengers must be wear the mask through out the journey and also they have to provide their personal information to keep track of them for medical checks if required.
